Tatyana
Tatyana, 5, took time to answer some impromptu questions for MS. Here's how she
responded:
Who is God?
The man that treat people just like God.
Like nice people that can help.
What else does He do?
He protects people. He saves His children
from bad people that do things to people.
Where does God live?
In the sky with Jesus.
Which one is Jesus?
A good man. He protects all the people
n the family.
What is the Bible?
It’s telling you how to treat God. It’s the word that God wrote. When people
say bad things … they go to church and get a Bible. He wrote all the
authors’ names and numbers to turn on the pages. It tells you how God is
really nice to you and protects all His children. And they can read about
everything in the Book.
Do you pray?
Sometimes, wherever we go, we pray for our food. Everybody in my family
prays. Sometimes I forget to pray for breakfast.
God will forgive you if you ask Him and you’re really sorry. What happens when you
come to church?
You see God.
What does He look like?
It’s a man and he’s white and he has a “lamp,” when they have fans.
You see God on the fans at church?
Mm hm. He’s white and he’s holding a lamb and he’s touching and
protecting him and he’s looking at the sky.
You think He protects us like He protects the lamb?
Yeah because He likes us and He keeps us safe every day.
He keeps you safe at school? You like school?
Yeah and I pray for me and all my friends and my grandpa.
Who tells you to pray?
My grandpa. And God tells me sometimes to stay away from strangers.
You can hear God talking to you?
Yeah. He said that He loves me and He will keep me safe every day, when I
go to school and when I go out sometimes. And He’s blessed us so much.
God is going to bless everybody.
You like talking to God?
Yes.
He’s the best, right?
Yeah. When I say my prayers at school and I do everything the best I could,
God told me to.
You ride the bus to school?
No, I’m a parent pick-up. Whoever has the blue hat is a parent pick-up.
What do you do to help at school?
I help when they drop something, I clean it up, and when I drop all of my
homework, some of my friends help me pick it up.
That’s good manners, right?
Yes, when they help, I say, “Hands are for helping.”
You and your friends don’t talk to strangers, right?
When I see a stranger, I have to kick and holler. A lot of police are there
looking out for kids. I have a library at my school and they tell me very
good things.
What do you do in the cafeteria?
I eat healthy vegetables.
Do you get to talk in the cafeteria?
We can talk, but when the teacher tells us to stop talking, we have to stop
talking. But sometimes the other kids keep talking and talking, but we don’t.
Have you learned anything in Sunday School?
Yes, I learned everything about God and soldiers and Joseph and Jonah.
Jonah wouldn’t go in the whale. I haven’t watched Jonah before in a long
time, but I know Jonah because Jonah is a cucumber.
From Veggie Tales?
Yeah, and he didn’t want to get in the whale because He didn’t do what
God said.
What’s your favorite TV show?
Raven, Disney Channel, High School Musical, Cheetah Girls, Cartoon
Network, Nick at Nite ...
What movie do you like?
Hairspray.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to work at Dunkin’ Donuts.
Will you still go to church when you are a grown-up?
Yes, because He makes me stronger.
Will you still pray?
Yes, because He likes me to pray; He likes me to be saved; He likes me to
do everything for Him and help Him a lot.
Well who is this “Him?”
Jesus!
